Frankie "Freak" Owen found a home with the Haven MC. War had left him mentally damaged and he would give anything to have one day without the shadows breaking free and taking him back to the darkest of his days.

Aline Banks worked at the local animal shelter and had seen enough cruelty. Most days the job broke her heart, but nothing beat witnessing a scared or emotionally scarred animal come out of its shell to trust again. She wished humans had the same ability to heal.
