Freeloaders

Sick of the ruthless and fast paced antics of city living and hoping to recover his failing marriage, Russell Maxwell resigns from the illustrious firm of Linden, Stokes and Webb to open up his own small practice in the country. Hoping to spend more time with a family he has hardly seen over the last 14 years, Russell sets up his office in their large country house. Although quiet and peaceful, country life isn't as uneventful as Russell thought it would be. In time, he begins to realize that things are not quite what they seem in the home of his dreams. Eventually, four ghosts appear to Russell in hopes that he will help them rectify their past transgressions so that they can move on in the supernatural world. The interesting consortium of characters makes life hectic for him on a daily basis. There's Trevor, the aristocratic British officer, Tattletale, the simpleton, Penny, the aspiring actress, and Matthew, the young soldier - each one with a lighthearted personality and a knack for giving Russell a hard time. One by one, the houseguests narrate their past hopes, dreams and mistakes to him hoping that he will give them the answers they so desperately need. In helping them come to grips with their past, Russell finds his own inner peace and purpose. Freeloaders is a story of lost souls trying to find their way home with the one man who will help them move on.
