Okay so someone recommended I read this after they saw that I'd read Haunting Adeline because it had one of the same tropes (cat and mouse). I also saw a tiktok about it on my feed and decided to give it a go.This book had potential but in my opinion, the characters lacked substance and besides learning the FMCs background story and trauma, I'm not too sure what the plot was either... The main characters are honestly not thinking with their brains at all if you catch my drift. Now I love a steamy romance when the main characters are trying to deny what they feel for one another but can't stay away from one another. But that’s all this book is. There was a plot but barely and all the characters just felt lack luster and rushed. This is the first book in a series so I'm not sure if the plot gets more details or whether the plot changes entirely or not. Overall, not bad if you're not really into complex plot based books and just want the romance.
