Ironhead

Ironhead is a lyrical, whimsical children's book that tells the story of a bullying knight who bites off more than he can chew by accepting a challenge to take on a mysterious army he drastically underestimates... Parents will love sharing this humorously illustrated allegorical story about power, responsibility and the dangers of hubris with their children. Ironhead was originally published in 1973 and has been painstakingly restored by Happy Books Press to best show off Gerald Rose's playful, vibrant illustrations. We are proud to introduce a new audience to Rose's bold and distinctive work, which sits perfectly alongside children's books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Where the Wild Things Are. Parents with an eye for design and illustration will enjoy Ironhead's striking aesthetic, while children will marvel at the unexpected ending of this amusing and thought-provoking tale.
