查看全部4.5Well, that was an experience. I started this book not really knowing what to expect, and ended up with my heart kinda aching but also satisfied. The story is intense, with quite a few heavy themes: addiction, grief, mental health, guilt... all wrapped up in two very broken characters who really shouldn't work together—but somehow do. There were moments I wanted to reach into the book and slap them both, but honestly? I got them. Every messed-up choice they made had a reason behind it.I devoured it in under a day, so that says a lot. It’s sad, yes, but it also feels raw and real, and strangely comforting too. Like watching someone fall flat on their face, get back up covered in bruises, and still say “I’m not done yet.”Still not sure if it’s a 4 or 5 star read, but what I do know is: I liked it way more than I expected.
