The magic in this book really leapt off the pages and had a profound effect on me. There was something so warm and familiar about this novel. The entire time I was reading it, I was transported back to some of my fondest childhood memories. The deep connections we have with our families, our communities, and our ancestors are so important for our survival. I really enjoyed the characters, the romance, the setting, and how this story was told through different perspectives and narrative voices. I'm so glad I read this.
