描述
Considered to be E.H. Young masterpiece, the story concentrates on Miss Mole, a housekeeper in her forties working for a minister's family, who makes her own fun by use of her sharp, witty mind.
Miss Mole is not conventional: she is a wonderfully flawed character that speaks her mind -sometimes a little sad, sometimes cynical. However she is an indomitable woman, a romantic survivor, who easily wins the affections of Ruth and Ethel, the daughters of pompous non conformist minister Reverend Corder.
