Modular Science for Aqa Separate Award

This series is designed to help students prepare effectively for their AQA Modular science exams. The Year 10 and Year 11 textbooks are available in both higher and foundation editions for students of a wide range of abilities. The parallel textbooks offer coverage of the appropriate exam tiers, so students are armed with all the knowledge they need without being overburdened with unnecessary information. The simplified language, layout and explanations in the foundation editions make them accessible to less able students. Students can switch easily from one tier to the next where appropriate. Both books can be used together in mixed ability classes as well as separately in sets. Written specifically for AQA Modular science, these books offer preparation for both end-of-module tests and terminal exams. The year 10 books cover the modules assessed by end-of-module tests, the year 11 books cover the modules assessed in the terminal exams. The year 11 books revisit content from end of module tests which is assessed again in the terminal exams. Students are given practice using the AQA data sheets they have to use in the terminal exam. The books address the new area of "Ideas and evidence". The teacher's resource packs which accompany the series are available both as a printed packs and as fully customisable CD-ROMs.
