Precalculus 4e

To be prepared for calculus a student needs not only technical skill but also a clear understanding of concepts. A student also needs an appreciation that mathematics contains great ideas that can be used to model real-world situations. This precalucus course presents many opportunities for students to discover the practical power of mathematics. It uses technology, the rule of four: "topics should be presented geometrically, numerically, algebraically and verbally, as well as an expanded emphasis on applications to promote conceptual reasoning, as well as group learning, extended projects or writing exercises to extend their own understanding of a given concept - all used as enhancements to a central core of fundamental skills.
