描述
He’s the devil in disguise, and she’s about to uncover his darkest secret…
Portia James never imagined that winning a luxury vacation to Sicily would change her life forever. A dream getaway with her best friend quickly turns into a whirlwind romance when she meets the enigmatic and dangerously handsome Rafael—a man who sweeps her off her feet and into a passionate night she’ll never forget. But the next day, Rafael vanishes without a trace, leaving only steamy memories and unanswered questions in his wake.
A year later, Portia’s life takes an unexpected turn when she, now a successful investigative reporter, is assigned to investigate a high-profile case involving the city’s notorious mob boss, Il Diavolo. As she digs deeper into the criminal empire, the last thing she expects is to cross paths with a billionaire businessman who wants to buy her news company.
His name? Rafael Calderone.
But Rafael is no ordinary mogul—his charm and wealth hide a dark, dangerous truth. He’s not just a business tycoon, but the ruthless and elusive Il Diavolo, the mob kingpin who has haunted Portia’s investigation from the start. Torn between the man she desires and the dangerous world he rules with an ironfist, Portia must decide whether she can trust him or if the man who once held her heart is the very devil she’s trying to expose.
In this thrilling tale of passion, power, and betrayal, Portia’s search for the truth will put her at the heart of a deadly game—one where love may be the greatest risk of all.
