The reviewer appreciates the well-written characters and the development of a storyline that serves as an engaging introduction to the series. The initial connection through a biology class sets the stage for a flirtatious turn of events, leading to study sessions that take an unexpected turn. While the novella successfully captures the essence of a fantasy come true, the reviewer assigns it a 3-star rating. The rating is attributed to the novella's nature as a snippet into the Kingsmen Football series. I absolutely loved False Start! I could relate to Shayna's awkwardness when she was around Lee as it's something that I've experienced myself. I can't wait to start the next book in the series and find out what happens between Lee and Shayna. *I received an audiobook code from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
