Max Geist's adventurous spirit leads him to organize a canoe trip through the wild rivers of Northern Minnesota, a journey meant to forge bonds and create lasting memories. However, his companion, fifteen-year-old David, soon realizes that the wilderness holds more than just the thrill of adventure. As the duo navigates the challenging waters, they encounter unexpected trials that test their resilience and friendship in ways they never anticipated.
The scenic beauty of the landscape is contrasted by a brewing tension that unfolds with each passing day on the river. David grapples with his own inner demons, while the challenges posed by the untamed nature around them bring to light deeper truths about themselves. As the trip progresses, they are faced with the real essence of both nature and humanity, ultimately revealing the complexities of trust and the shadows that linger in their lives.
