¡Vamos a leer! is an introductory text for those wishing to learn to read in Spanish. It is intended to be supplemented with a Spanish grammar. While intended for beginners, it may also be useful for those who have some practice as it reviews the details involved in reading.

Part one is an overview of fundamental language principles, differences between English and Spanish, information on verbs and tenses, and suggestions to build a greater vocabulary.

Part two covers the pluralization of nouns and adjectives, Spanish word order, special expressions, common verb forms, and presents reading selections in very easy Spanish prose.

Part three provides a selection of short works by some of the greatest classic writers in the Spanish language.
