After escaping The Compound-an internment camp designed for the capture, study, torture, and annihilation of my kind-I traveled to the mountains of Arlyss with my best friend Myna and boyfriend Solar. We are Talists, the colloquial term for those who are able to connect with the elements through an evolutionary genetic mutation. We have designed a plan to achieve safety and equality for our people but we soon realize that we are in over our heads.
