描述

In a world where the lines of loyalty and betrayal are often blurred, the tale of FitzChivalry Farseer unfolds with intensity and depth. Born into a royal family yet cast aside as a royal bastard, Fitz finds himself navigating the treacherous waters of court politics and dark ulterior motives. His unique abilities, including the enigmatic Skill that connects him to animals and people alike, shape his journey as he grapples with destiny and duty.

As intrigues swirl around him, Fitz is thrust into the life of an assassin, where every decision carries weighty consequences. The intricacies of his relationships—whether with the loyal allies who stand by him or the formidable enemies lurking in the shadows—are explored with rich character development and emotional resonance. The stakes rise as Fitz must confront his past, his heritage, and the burden of the future that awaits him.

Set against a backdrop of vivid landscapes and a richly woven lore, the narrative unfolds, pulling the reader into Fitz's struggles and triumphs. With themes of sacrifice, identity, and the quest for acceptance, this story resonates deeply, making one ponder the cost of love and the often-painful path to becoming who one truly is. As the saga progresses, the choices Fitz makes will echo through the ages, leaving an indelible mark on both his life and the realm he strives to protect.

It was so good. It was my first Robin Hobb book and I wanted to enter her universe. I can say that I'm glad I did! This book was everything I didn't know I needed and I believe it's the introduction to the rest of the trilogy but also the rest of the universe and that it's only going to get better and better.

What I can say about the book is that it was pretty fucking good. There's no other words to describe it, except that it was really good, it did take its time to put things into motion but still it did this in a perfectly right timing that I didn't really mind. I never felt bored when I read the book but I can say I did feel quite a lot of emotions. I felt pride, I felt anger, I felt sorrow and I can't wait to see what the others are going to make me feel.

Concerning the characters : I really f****** loved Fitz. That's my son, my precious son and I don't know if he's going to be in the next books though seeing that it's the farseer trilogy and he is Fitz chivalry Farseer, I hope he is going to be there. But also I really loved Burrich, he literally was like the father that stepped up tbh and also Chade and the Fool.

For Chade I do like the approach he has with Fitz and I hope we're going to see more of him in the next book because I really like his relationship with Fitz. I hope that his Assassin's skills will grow and he gets better at it and I hope he does learn to Skill with Verity , well whenever he has a time and he's not like, you know, trying to man a war.

About the Fool: I love him.. them? I NEED more of them in the book. Like if only we could het his pov or anything really, il begging for Fool's crumbs at this point.

Anyways, can't wait for the next book

I’ve just finished reading this book and I’m speechless. I loved every bit of it. I must admit I was a bit wary when I started reading it because everyone says it’s so sad. It is sad, that’s true, but not to the point that you’re crying the whole time (I only shed a tear twice). All in all, this book was an absolute joy to read and I’m pretty sure I’ll read the whole Realm of the Elderlings saga in time.
