The survivors are left to grapple with the devastating loss and overwhelming sense of dread that follows the breach. In a world ravaged by titans, where every moment is a fight for survival, the stakes have never been higher. As the remnants of humanity scramble to regroup, tensions rise among the remaining members as they struggle to understand their new reality.

Amidst the turmoil, the story dives deeper into the lives of those affected by the titans' relentless onslaught. Betrayals and alliances form in unexpected ways, as friendships are tested against the backdrop of disaster. Characters must wrestle with their fears and motivations, pushing themselves to confront the titanic threat to reclaim their home and their future. This volume sets the stage for a gripping exploration of courage, sacrifice, and the emergence of a new warrior against the horrors of the world outside the walls.

★★★★

This was basically Eren being Eren and everyone else trying to figure out what the hell just happened.

I actually liked this volume more for the tension than the action. Nobody knows whether Eren is a miracle or another threat, and honestly I wouldn't trust him either if I were them 😭.

Mikasa continues to be one of the most interesting characters because her entire existence seems to revolve around keeping Eren alive.

Armin though? I feel like people underestimate him WAY too much.

The whole situation is chaotic, but I like that the story isn't pretending that Eren suddenly becoming a Titan solves anything. If anything, it creates about seventeen more problems.
