Chrissy was not supposed to play so far from home. She was supposed to stay close to her sister and brothers. But one day while she was out exploring the woods, she got too close to a coonhound named Barney. When Ole Barney got a whiff of rabbit, he took off after her! If only little Chrissy had minded her mama.
