Claude Closky

The perpetually irreverent Claude Closky spent the 1980s painting before turning to photography, video, drawing, publishing, and eventually web design-he designed the web site of the DIA Center for the Arts in New York. His work concerns itself with disturbing established orders and, occasionally, with creating arbitrary ones. His work, which has its origins in collage and semantic assemblage, explores-with an insatiable appetite-the imagery of video games, web sites, magazines, and advertisements.
