It’s All Hallows’ Eve and Mara Coleman’s planning some practical magic. Tired of spending her days in Salem alone, she heads out into the crisp autumn forests to summon a familiar. It seems an easy solution to a simple problem.

But as the old adage warns … Be careful what you wish for. Mara’s summoning works more effectively than expected and instead of merely acquiring an animal companion, she allows a centuries-old, cursed creature into her home. And whether she likes it or not, the golden-eyed monster intends to keep her in bed all Halloween!
