It was ok but I think I'll have to stick to Kings books before Trump took office. In all his newer work he can't go more than 3 chapters without forcing his Trump Derangement all throughout the dialogue. It gets old fast but also isn't surprising if anyone has ever seen his Twitter. It is his life obsession.... overall if you like the stranger things this is basically a decently written knock off

Good, not great—firmly middle-tier Stephen King.The premise works, but the characters never pop. I know they’re kids, but I still expect more memorable personalities in an SK novel. Instead, they feel oddly dated—despite being set in 2018, the dialogue and references sound straight out of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.King’s storytelling keeps it readable, but it’s nowhere near his best. I struggled to connect, and the ending felt pretty uneventful.Worth it for die-hard fans and completists. Not the one I’d hand to someone as their first trip into the SK universe.

This book was so amazing ! I could not put it down until I had finished it ! I really loved the characters, I had a lot of sympathy for them, especially Luke, who was so clever throughout the whole story ! As each chapter ended, I wanted, needed, to continue. It was marvellous ! So captivating !
