Enjoyed this book loads more than the prequel This story was a much better read than the first book which I read of the authors, i gave up on that one at 50% but this story was well paced and the characters voices were separate enough to know which one was speaking when, which was the issue with the first book.The story brings a lot of hurdles to light, that a wheelchair bound character would face and also the emotional issues that they may suffer from after the trauma of being hurt in the line of duty.Shannon was a Nice character, not too sugary sweet but she was definitely a bit clichéd for a damsel in distress, but at least she had the gumption to be able to protect herself too. Overall she was a decent female character to relate to.I think I'll be looking up the next book as Zeke seems like an interesting character too
