⭐️2.5This book started off painfully slow, and I was bored to tears. I didn't love this book as much as others did. Unfortunately, I didn't find the story to be action-packed enough and found myself bored of constantly reading about the family drama rather than getting closer to discovering the truth behind Cameron's death.I must admit that the last 100 pages or so, essentially the last quarter of the book, were decent, if I may say a little enjoyable. Just wish the rest was as enjoyable.

One was the death of Nathan's dog (I'm sorry if you think this counts as a spoiler). The other thing I didn't like about this book was the ending. Nathan spent the whole book finding himself, making amends, and learning to do the right thing the first time and then he turns around and ignores all of it. I mostly liked this. I hate Bub. But I mostly liked the book as a whole, until the ending, which severely let me down. It felt like "happily ever after" is the only option the author believed open to her and it felt flat. It was fake. It could have been better. The beginning had such promise.
