I didn’t expect to enjoy this one as much as I did! I usually want a little more danger and action in my books, but this story had me laughing out loud.
For about the first 60%, I was having such a good time. The story stayed good through the end, but the last 40% felt like a pattern of good story, sex scene, good story, sex scene. I like spice, but there was so much of it that it started interrupting the parts I was most invested in. I don’t think this story needed that many scenes.
I’m giving it 3.75 stars. With a little less spice, this easily could have been a 4 or even 4.25 for me. I’m glad I read it, though—and it definitely surprised this action-loving reader!
I LOVE me a good fake dating romance book. And this one delivered! It is so cute and cozy and has the perfect amount of spice in it. Zane and Autumn had excellent banter, and they complimented each other very well. Also, usually instalove stories bother me, but this one flowed nicely, so it wasn't an issue. This was a cute, cozy, fall read that was easy to get into, and I will definitely be reading more by this author!
