Jacob Clone

There’s no one quite like Jacob Clone. He’s anti-school, anti-work and loves to play hooky from his job. Today, he reflects, was not the day to ditch work. While eating his breakfast at a cocktail bar, Jacob has the misfortune to witness a murder! The victim was looking for a young lady whom he described to a tee before he takes two in the heart from a pseudo-drunk in the bar. When said drunk speeds out of the parking lot in the victim’s car, quite sober mind you, Jacob and the bartender are sure they’ve been had but oh so glad they aren’t dead and had! After being questioned and released by the police, Jacob can only hope his Dad the cop doesn’t get wind of this or Jacob’s life is toast!

Glad to escape the mess, Jacob goes home. Imagine his surprise when he sees the girl the victim described on the elevator in Clone’s apartment building! And it only gets better. The not-so-drunk killer holds up Jacob in the apartment while mystery girl hides behind the breakfast bar. Oh, and Jacob is also pro philosophizing…even with a gun held to his temple! And no matter what he does, he can’t shake married mystery girl. This is how his day is going, but he’s got to have everything solved by the time his Dad gets home or he’s a goner! Can we say Ferris Buehler’s Day off meets Pulp Fiction?
