Ferry makes Gilgamesh available in the kind of energetic and readable translation that Robert Fitzgerald and Richard Lattimore have provided for readers in their translations of Homer and Virgil.

I had to read this book for a class called World Thought. Not something that I would normally read and not quite the style I like, but the story was interesting.
