We learn More about edward than any other book, and the start of the book is Great. You meet Ted forrester (aka edward), fiance. and her two kids. you also get to know edward mor in this book.But that ids pretty much the only this about this book that was good.i was really disapointed with this one. i love anita blake series. but i almost chucked the book away after reading the chapter with the baby eating monster, and i didn't handle the kids kidnapping well either.i felt so sick afterwards.this i just couldn't stomach. the rest of the book was ok. for once no sex, i'm not too sure if i'm disapointed or not.i just don't think this book was something to rave about. i'll continue reading the series. but you could quite easily skip this book in the series. it isn't a vital one. but if you want to know more about Edward, this is the book where we get to know him more. it's just a pity that there were some bits that were just too sick for me to handle.
