The question of the National Progressive Front has been a pivotal experience since June 17-30, 1968. The Arab Ba`th Socialist Party, which leads the expermiment, views the front as a strategic programme with long-term aims, not only for the revolutionairy experiment in Iraq itself, but for the Arab revolutionary movement.
