The final chapter in the global blockbuster Crossfire quintet
Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably.
Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.
We have bared our deepest, ugliest secrets to one another. Gideon is the mirror that reflects all my flaws…and all the beauty I couldn’t see. He has given me everything. Now, I must prove I can be the rock, the shelter for him that he is for me. Together, we could stand against those who work so viciously to come between us.
But our greatest battle may lie within the very vows that give us strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set us free…or break us apart.
Heartbreakingly and seductively poignant, One with You is the breathlessly awaited finale to the Crossfire saga, the searing love story that has captivated millions of readers worldwide.

查看全部This is my 7th time reading this book. If that doesn't show how much I love it I don't know what will lol!The final instalment is my favourite of the series. Could you say a lot goes on? Yes. That being said I like that. Some of my highlights are the fact that when a situation in the that in the past would have bee a major issue for Eva and Gideon was dealt with maturely and without drama between the couple. That is a great sign of growth within their relationship. The plot in regards to Monica was a little out there, I didn't hate it, it does explain a lot of her behaviour with Eva. The situation with Nathan just adding to it all. The revelation that it was nothing to do with Monica's past that was the cause of the shooting but in actual fact it was all to do with Gideon and someone using a mentally ill person to get back at him for something that didn't need to be as bad as it was.I would have like a more on page resolution for what we found out about the reason behind Christopher's resentment towards Gideon. When in reality there wasn't any justification for it. Knowing what Angus found in the files that Anne had hidden of her brothers it would explain why Christopher was the way he was and I would have liked to see a conversation between the brothers where they opened up and hashed things out. Hopefully their relationship can grow through the Crossroads series??One last thing I know it was rectified quickly but I was so annoyed that Gideon lied to Eva about her mom. Thankfully it didn't last long but that had the potential to be much worse. Gideon being fussed over by Eva's grandmother was so freaking adorable. I am glad he has family that see him for the person he is and not his fathers action or his bank account. That is what he really needs to see his true worth. This series is top tier for me and would highly recommend it!!
This book/series is by no stretch a literary masterpiece. The story isn't too complicated, but there were some pieces that fell into place and suprised me, keeping me entertained.I did find this book gave Gideon and Eva the depth that I felt some of the previous books lacked. Ultimately I was sad to finish this one, knowing it was the final book of the series. The author did a good job in making me feel invested in the characters.
