I’ve always dreamt of playing in a rock band, and now that I have the chance I’m not sure I want to. Losing my grandmother, the reason I play the guitar, has put a dimmer in the light. I feel myself pulling away from those I'm close to; pulling away from the happiness that once filled my soul. With Easton pursuing his dreams, I’m left alone to deal with the pain and darkness. Can I find a way through this? A way back to myself? A way back to him? A way back to the music I love?

Emersyn is not your typical girl. She has a wall up thicker than Fort Knox, but there’s always a way in. We’ve been friends since high school, and I’ve secretly been in love with her since the first day I met her sitting on her grandmother's porch. When her grandmother dies, I feel her pulling away. As she continues to fall into her own darkness, I find myself on the outside.
