It weaves a complex plot with a relentless detective at the helm. The story grips you from the start, with its clever writing prompting you to flip through the pages in a quest to unravel the web of questions that emerge as the story unfolds.Lisa Regan has outdone herself once more. It's hard to believe this is the 21st book, and still, the series continues to be exciting, intense, addictive, and an absolute page-turner with every installment.The story kicks off with a flashback to Josie's early days as a rookie cop. An event which occurred fifteen years prior firmly placed in the back of her mind. Fast forward to today, and a startling discovery is made in the park: a baby crying, abandoned in her stroller, with no sign of her mother. A lone Polaroid picture left with the child becomes a pivotal clue. On further examination of the photo, Josie recognizes a connection to the long-ago incident. The urgency mounts when another victim surfaces, marked by the same distinct signature.
