In a future intertwined with the digital age, DI Liz Kavanaugh navigates the murky waters of internet crime, where the line between lawfulness and chaos blurs. As societal norms shift and the internet becomes a breeding ground for illicit activities, Liz finds herself grappling with the peculiar realities of her job. What was once a routine policing assignment has now morphed into a labyrinth of online depravity, forcing her to confront not just the offenders, but also the unsettling nature of her own existence within this warped technological landscape.
With each case that lands on her desk, Liz uncovers a disturbing layer of human behavior that challenges her views of morality and justice. As she delves deeper into the underbelly of the internet, she discovers that the crimes she investigates are just as much a reflection of society’s darkest desires as they are of individual wrongdoing. Her journey becomes a poignant exploration of the consequences of digital freedom and the complexities of human nature in an ever-evolving world.
