What can I even say about this book? Out of the entire trilogy, I think this one surprised me the most. I had no idea that the Preston we got to know in the previous books was only the tip of the iceberg. He has to be one of the most complex and strongest characters I've ever read. Honestly, I don't think I could survive a single day inside his mind without completely losing it. He was a difficult character, but at the same time, completely understandable, you know?And I have to admit, even though I watched a show last week with a character who also experienced hallucinations, Preston still fooled me. Or rather, I just didn't pick up on some things that now seem so obvious. I guess it's because I was reading, while a TV show is much more visual.Now let's talk about Marcus, who I can honestly describe in just two words: lovesick fool. Seriously, who would've thought he wouldn't just have a little crush on Preston, but would be completely head over heels for him? 😂It was such a long book, and yet it still didn't feel like enough. I could easily read another entire book filled with nothing but moments of them as a couple, along with Preston's sister and June, Marcus's mom. 🫂🤍PrestonMarcus, you've officially made it into my top 3 favorite couples of 2026. ❤️🩹P.S. Once I reached that part and started crying... I never stopped. 💔
