After silver was discovered on Aurora Mountain in 1858, mining camps began to spring up throughout the outlying areas almost overnight. The largest and most prosperous of which was the Aurora Mountain Mining Town.
The town flourished until 1877 when miners started disappearing in the night, never to be heard from again. Entire mining camps were left abandoned as rumors of a phantom creature lurking in the mines spread through the outlying districts. Shortly after that, the inhabitants of the mining town vanished without a trace.
Decades passed and the mining town fell into ruin. Until, in 2026, a local group of historical conservationists began the Aurora Mountain Mining District Restoration Committee. Their first official act was to restore the Aurora Mountain Mining Town.
This restoration effort is what brings twelve ill-fated college students and their anthropology professor to the very mountain the local Native American Tribes claim to be the hunting grounds of a creature known as "The Bonewalker".
Stranded in the abandoned mining town the field trip turns deadly when the students and their teacher are stalked by the faster, stronger, and nearly indestructible Bonewalker. Facing almost certain death, the role of heroes fall squarely on the shoulders of Parker Everett, a film student who suffers from an extremely debilitating case of claustrophobia and his misanthropic, sarcastic best friend Jason Finger.
As the number of his fellow classmates dwindles, Parker must overcome his fear of tight spaces, brave the tunnels of an abandoned silver mine, and fight off the earth’s oldest living predator in order to save his friends and live to see another day.
