The narration was hauntingly beautiful, every emotion, every silence, every pause hit differently. Hearing young Eryk’s voice, full of hope and pain, just broke me. You could feel the loneliness, the fear, and that desperate need to belong slowly twisting into something darker.And don’t even get me started on his relationship with his mother, Lena. She’s so fierce and protective, but you can tell her love comes from fear more than hope. That scene where she tells him, “People will never understand what you are,” (or close to that) just, ugh. It broke me. Because she’s not being cruel, she’s being honest.
