The Fielding

War has destroyed most of humanity, and for those lucky enough to have survived, they face Fieldings when they reach a certain age. The government deems people too old to live and sends them to die in a field either by the elements or at the hand of wild animals.

When Alexis Ferguson hears that her parents have been sent for a fielding, she drops everything and makes her way back to Delphic Cove after having been gone for decades. Will she make it in time to save them?
