描述
In this fast-paced YA mystery, brother and sister duo Jake and Kayla Strand find themselves in over their heads when Jake’s best friend disappears. Even though Amar’s father, the ambassador from India, appears more concerned with the cutting edge laptop Amar loaned Jake– a laptop that’s soon stolen at gunpoint– the high school students take it upon themselves to find their friend.
With the help of Kayla’s best friend Hannah, the three use a combination of old-fashioned detective work as well as computers and social media to follow Amar’s trail. From seedy hotels to the Indian Embassy to the Lincoln Memorial, their quest will take them all over the nation’s capital.
This compelling who-done-it is YA at its best, with not a single vampire or dystopian landscape in sight.
