It started off strong and I was on the edge of my seat, so to speak, and then it felt like it slowly drug on. Once we got to the diaries, I felt myself checking out until the last few chapters.

Faction system ✔️ Teenagers making life-altering decisions ✔️ Government secrets ✔️ Existential crisis wrapped in action scenes ✔️ Classic dystopian chaos 😌 What I liked most is that it actually keeps you invested — the world feels intense, the stakes are high, and there’s always this underlying tension of: “Okay… something is VERY wrong here.” Tris is strong without feeling perfect, Four has that mysterious emotionally-damaged-boy energy we all ate up in YA fiction 😭, and the whole story balances action + emotions pretty well. And honestly? The concept itself is so good — dividing society based on personality traits sounds smart… until you realize humans are way too messy to fit into neat little boxes 👀 Genres (aka peak YA dystopia starter pack): ⚔️ Dystopian rebellion chaos 🔥 Strong female lead energy 🖤 Morally grey system vs freedom 💣 Government conspiracy vibes 💋 YA romance + trauma bonding ✨ “I don’t fit into society” core Verdict: Action-packed, emotional, and very peak-2010s YA dystopian energy.
Después de casi tres años, todavía no he logrado superar este libro. Cada vez que surge o veo algo sobre la trilogía, y sobre todo, de este último libro, el corazón se me encoge y se me hace un nudo en la garganta. Ese final me dejó el corazón roto, me pareció tan injusto >.< T.TYa sé que la vida no es justa, y que está bien darle realismo a las historias reflejando las injusticias de la misma. En especial respecto de las personas que menos se lo merecen, pero ahí está para mi el problema. Cuando creas un personaje como Tris, que es tan humana y tan real, terminas empatizando y cogiéndole mucho cariño y sufres cuando ella lo hace. Tanto que lees ese final y se te viene el mundo encima. ¿Era necesario? , ¿es que acaso la vida no es lo suficientemente dura como para que en este libro, distópico y de ficción, acabe muriendo ni más ni menos que la protagonista poco tiempo antes de poder vivir libre y feliz después de TODO lo que ha pasado? Si lo que buscaba Verónica Roth era dejar huella, lo ha conseguido; aunque en mi caso, no de manera positiva. El desenlace ha sido demasiado trágico e innecesario.Ha sido una montaña rusa de emociones que acaba en picado, y que podía haber sido increíble. Tris y Cuatro eran increíbles juntos, eran imperfectamente perfectos el uno para el otro.Esta es mi humilde opinión y entiendo que para gustos colores y todos respetables. El libro en sí, me ha gustado mucho pero el final, aciago y desafortunado, me ha destrozado.
