the characters were interesting and well developed, while the mystery surrounding the "future" they can see kept the pace moving quite briskly. The story does cover quite a bit of territory, focusing on a variety of subplots. This offered an aspect of realism that was appreciated - the sense of a world outside the love story. However I would have liked a little more time at the conclusion to see these individual stories wrapped up.All in all, this offered a strong contemporary YA novel with a splash of speculative elements.
