How the HELL did I end up in the Holy Land?!

This is the true story of a pasty white English lad's misadventures in the Holy Land...

Ashley left the warmth of his mother's bosom to seek adventure in Europe and the Middle East. The call of the desert was strong, and he quickly turned into a non-Jewish potential Kibbutz volunteer who speedily fell in love with Tel Aviv upon arrival.

As the region rained Scud missiles thanks to a cuddly Saddam Hussein, Ashley learned to dodge them while fumbling for his gas mask...and quickly got besotted with an exotic local girl. Love and lust meant expired visas, and Ashley was soon an illegal worker, taking on anything and everything in order to stay put in the Holy Land.

Despite the best attempts of a legendary Jewish mother, love almost conquered all, before reality hit. A broken heart led to Ashley marrying and divorcing another… and then marrying yet another local girl to join suburbia and the hi-tech revolution…

This story has love and lust, scud missiles, illegal workers, legendary Jewish mothers, broken hearts, circumcisions (!), and yes, plenty of beer and beaches! A great little read for those of you interested in travelling, Israel, or just being entertained for a few hours.
