Rezensionen
Slow start but does pick up after a few chapters. The writing is mostly dull and repetitive. I liked some of the characters (Isla and Grim) but the rest were either lackluster or just poorly written. However the narrative here does have some intrigue and mystery about it and is by far the best thing this book offers.
I just could not put this book down. I am absolutely in love and was not expecting every twist and turn that happened. I cant wait to read Nightbane!
there is a lot to handle in this book but i enjoyed it a lot.
Honest thoughts really... the book is captivating, emotionally engaging, well paced and extremely interesting. However, if I'm team Oro or team Grim, I'd say team no one... what do you mean both are triators at some point? And not a mild betrayal either... even then I'll have to wait for my second book to arrive in a week... (I'll angrily anticipating)
── .✦ That was the moment I knew I loved you, he had said. When that arrow went through your heart, and it might as well have gone through mine. ~˗ˏˋ˗ˏ 3.5 🌟 ● 1 🌶 ~Well, I read this finally, after reading Summer in the City by Alex earlier this year. This is the month to do that, seems. To read books that I've heard dead average reviews of. This wasn't bad. The characters had their moments, and the story was just fine. I wasn't sure at the start, but it sort of grew on me. I'm very intrigued to see what what will happen between Grim and Isla with their background and the way she felt betrayal on his end. And how he did when Oro wielded her powers. Speaking of the King, I hope he doesn't get screwed over if Grim is the endgame, unless he decides to make himself a grade-A douche. He's been alright so far.
