Just as good as the first time I read it in 2024. Definitely one of Lucy Foley's better novels. Good characters and world building, a descent enough plot and a conclusion that I think is befitting of the respective characters.

So. Thoughts. Firstly, I must say I LOVED the audiobook. I'm by no means a French speaker, but the audiobook narration was such a fun experience for me (although I can see how it can be a hit or miss). It's very hard for me to enjoy a book that has absolutely no likeable characters, but this one was very captivating. There was something that felt different from other stories of its kind and I really appreciated that.
