I didn’t want this series to end.I didn’t want to say goodbye to a world that I have been swept away into and to characters both mortal and God alike whom I had grown to love and want to see find happiness against all the odds that were forever stacked against them.I also didn’t want to cry.Hannah Kaner’s Faithbreaker has led to all three of the things I didn’t want to end up happening, doing so and I’m still not sure how I feel apart from broken over the ending of this book. I can’t say too much with this review because my son will see it and because life and work got in the way; our planned read together didn’t happen and he’s really not happy with me nor the warning and tear-stained cheeks he saw last night.This was an epic final book in a series, it had everything you wanted along the way, but oh my God I didn’t see what was to come, and I need so many cuddles and reassurances from the author that things change later on in the world even if I can’t see it.
This book was a great way to show how to have an epic war and fantasy book and still be able to be inclusive and not an ass (disabilty, queer, language representation).
