Ben and Fallon meet and have an instant connection, but she’s moving across the country the same night. They both know that, at only 18, they have a lot of life to experience and dreams to chase before falling into such a big, all-consuming type of love. They agree to meet on the same day every year for 5 years with absolutely zero contact in between. Ben begins writing a novel about their unique love story… but there may be a heartbreaking plot twist for Fallon in store. I didn’t always care for Ben (some of his behavior was cringey and too aggressive) and there were definitely a lot of cheesy, eye roll moments but I liked the concept of the story. I didn’t guess the plot twist of their story and everything after that point is when it got really good for me.
Loved this book so much. It ripped my heart out, shoved it back in and ripped it out again in the best way. Heartbreakingly beautiful.
simply never paying attention to people's opinion ever bc i loved that and ya'll pulled the main plot twist widely out of context..anyways it was a cute read and i loved it but i took half a star of for the miscommunication bc im sorry but i will never like that trope at all.
