As the students navigate the tumultuous backdrop of wartime Britain, they find themselves embroiled in events that test their resolve and ethics. Their distinct assignments lead them into the heart of bustling London and through the trials faced by ordinary citizens during the Blitz, revealing the resilience and bravery of those living through such uncertain times.
The narrative not only explores the historical context but also delves into the characters' personal dilemmas and the unforeseen consequences of their actions across time. Each student's journey contributes to a larger tapestry of sacrifice, courage, and the ever-blurring line between past and present, creating an emotionally engaging tale that resonates with the weight of history.

Clearly a lot of research had gone into the era particularly in terms of how people behaved. The Blitz was not a period I had learnt about in much detail but it vividly brought to life what it was like for people in London especially.Shame that book itself had no real ending instead runs straight to the next book [b:All Clear (All Clear, #2)|7519231|All Clear (All Clear, #2) (Oxford Time Travel, #4)|Connie Willis|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320549311s/7519231.jpg|9735628]which I am downloading immediately!
