The Housemaid by Freida McFadden is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. The mystery surrounding the Winchester family made the story unpredictable and kept me guessing throughout. I really enjoyed the twists and the way the secrets were slowly revealed. Overall, it was a fast-paced and addictive book that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys mystery and psychological thrillers.

However, it was a standard book, and a little overhyped in my opinion -- though I will be reading more Freida McFadden!🫰Loved the ending -- it was empowering and kind of ironic.👍Pacing was okay.👌Writing was a little too simple -- but as it's first person, it doesn't really bother me too much.👎Plot twist wasn't too surprising.👎The plot was kind of uneventful. Pacing was okay, but writing was a little overly simple -- the first person internal thoughts of Millie were very basic and easy to read.
Simplesmente sem palavras pra esse livro. É incrível a maneira em que você se sente na vida do personagem, muito bem escrito, muito bem feito e com certeza esse é o meu livro favorito da vida. Eu comecei a ler livros por conta desse desse livro. Perfeito.
9/10 ⭐️Я до цього прочитав все, що тільки можна із Фріди. І це — не схоже на неї. В гарному сенсі цього слова. Це дуже виважено, продумано і логічно. Мені дуже сподобалось. Хоч я і дивився фільм, все одно книга трошки змінила ракурси персонажів. І це доповнило історію ще десь на 50%
Scene: Described well, I enjoyed the setting and it was well worded but not too over complicated. A handful of places put simply, so we can concentrate on the story and characters. Standard Freida. ****

Recommend?: Yes, Freida all day! This was the Freida hook that caught me.
O que foi esse livro? Novamente a Freida me enganou. Achei muito bom do começo ao fim, e eu adoro que os livros dela sejam do tipo "vou começa a ler e terminar imediatamente", porque eu simplesmente nao conseguia parar de ler! Eu amei, e ja pretendo começar o segundo hoje mesmo.
I really liked it. I understood why one of the characters was the way she was at the beginning but the way she used the other character to just do that is just... yeah. But it was pretty gruesome at some parts but apart from that, I like it.
I needed something else after reading ACOTAR and Say You Swear and I hear a lot of this book and I love myself some thrillers! AND THIS BOOK DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I haven’t finished a book this quick in quite some time and I absolutely do not regret reading it. It started off amazing and it kept getting better. This book was an amazing page turner as I literally could not put it away. This was the kind of book that every time you finish a chapter you want to start the next right away. The suspense building was amazing and from the first chapter you know something isn’t right but won’t find out until the end of the book what it is. And that is how you keep my attention. Also the fact that it was a thriller but I couldn’t guess the plot was great. Because mostly I normally know exactly what is going on! I am really looking forward to start the next book!
