Beskrivning
Internationally renowned actor-playwright adapts Henrik Ibsen's Master Builder.
"Shawn's plays are everything you dream of theatre being—really smart, stimulating, unsettling, hilarious, and truthful. The quality of his writing places Shawn in the company of heavy-weight playwright-thinkers like Tony Kushner and Caryl Churchill."?Don Shewey
Known for his demanding and provocative prose, Wallace Shawn, working with long-time collaborator André Gregory, has spent nearly fifteen years adapting one of Ibsen's greatest works. A film adaptation, directed by Jonathan Demme, is set for spring 2013.
Wallace Shawn is the author of OBIE Award–winning plays Our Late Night, Aunt Dan and Lemon, and The Fever. Other works include Marie and Bruce, The Designated Mourner, and the screenplay for My Dinner with Andre, in which he also starred.
