So good!! I love this book!!
情感调色板: absorbing, complex, emotional, gripping, suspenseful
I couldn't put this book down! I started reading it when I had show week for theater and was reading it whenever I could. I finished it within six days. 10/10 would read again!
It was such an amazing book. I couldn't stop reading it
Absolutely brilliant! Pip’s investigation was clever, tense, and full of surprises. I couldn’t put it down—one of my favourite reads ever.
It was one of the most amazing and incredible read in 2025
Okay, so this book was one hell of a roller coaster. The first half, in my opinion, dragged. A lot. I honestly found it difficult to get into but I preserved. The first half is also very nonsensical. A 17-year-old school girl decides to base her project on what is essentially a closed case despite there being nobody and expects to somehow do what the police haven't done in the 5/6 since the crime occurred. She goes as far as to even commit crimes, albeit small(ish) crimes, in the process which is funny to me. Ya know, considering she's trying to prove someone's innocence. All the evidence just seemed to fit conveniently into place and manages to fit perfectly together. However, in the second half. OH MY GOD this book SKYROCKETS! Yes, the ending is purely based on convenient and coincidental evidence but I was still shocked. The pace picks up and I wanted to continue reading. If you ask me, it gets wrapped up a little too neatly. You might as well slap a big, red bow on it. But I genuinely enjoyed reading this book in the end. Is this book believable? Not in the slightest but it's enjoyable and that's enough for me. First half - 1 ⭐️Second half - 3 ⭐️This is also the first book this year to make me cry so extra .5 stars for that! I don't normally cry at books so ya know. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
3.5 stars. I liked this book...but it paled in comparison to Missing Clarissa. Perhaps if I'd have read this before MC than I would've liked it better. I also found some things to be unbelievable, that diminished my overall enjoyment of the book. I didn't really like Pip but I also didn't dislike her, she just seemed to have no personality outside of this project and liking homework. Not sure if I will continue the series (especially since I know the last books has such mixed reviews).
AHHHH IM SPEECHLESS THAT WAS SUCH AN AMAZING READ ALL THE PLOT TWISTS AND TURNS????!!!!!!!
This was an entertaining read! The characters were good, the storyline well developed, the mystery had good twists... It kept me interested for the whole ride. Definitely one of the better teen murder mystery books I've read.
