描述
Deep within a quiet burrow in the rolling hills of the Shire resides a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, whose life takes an extraordinary turn. Unlike the other inhabitants who live a life of comfort and predictability, Bilbo is swept into an adventure that propels him far from home. Accompanied by a group of thirteen dwarves and the mysterious wizard Gandalf, Bilbo embarks on a quest to reclaim a treasure guarded by the fearsome dragon Smaug.
As he traverses through breathtaking landscapes and encounters formidable creatures, Bilbo discovers not only the harsh realities of the world outside his cozy hobbit hole but also the strength and courage he never knew he possessed. The journey challenges his understanding of bravery, friendship, and what it truly means to be a hero.
Along the way, Bilbo finds himself in situations filled with danger and intrigue, ultimately shaping him into a key player in a larger saga. The tale blends whimsy with profound themes of growth and adventure, making it a timeless classic that captures the imagination of readers young and old.

29/3/11 finished reading for the third time! I love it! i don't see a need to change my original review.I have read this one twice so far, and i probably will continue to go back to it again and again. This according to an old friend of mine is a childrens book. i can understand why she would say that as this was easier to read than the LOTR trilogy that follows.
