When Stephen King is on, he's really on. A master of short fiction. Even though I've seen the film adaptation several times, this was still a really enjoyable read. I'm giving it 4 stars because, unfortunately, King, like so many other white writers, suffers from Quentin Tarantino syndrome. The incessant need to use the n-word. Its use adds nothing to the story. But for readers like me who are completely blindsided by the casual racism they sprinkle throughout their work it definitely takes away
