✨️REVIEW✨️ The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 I struggled with the first half of this book, it felt very slow to get in to. It did pick up in the 2nd half thankfully. The writing was great, the story was great and I loved the diversity of the characters especially the MFC. I've never actually read a story with the MFC being autistic so it was very refreshing. I've been around a lot of people on the spectrum and I picked it up very quickly from the writing. The 2 quotes in the pics show the completely different thinking zones Stella is in. Absolute fear of being "less" because you're autistic and then the hyperfocus that no it doesn't define you. Absolute spot on.The author has been diagnosed herself with being on the spectrum and I love that she's writing herself into a character. You shouldn't have to hide yourself because of what others may think. 'Those who matter don't care and those who care don't matter.' And this book shows just how much people can treat you differently just because they don't understand. So thank you @hhoangwrites for educating us through your own experiences and through a fun story.
Just loved this book so much! It had you laughing, crying, and angry !! I loved the characters and the romantic development throughout the story, it did not happen all at once! Loved it, highly recommend!!
der start geht aber sowas von direkt los. liebe es dass es slow ist. er ist zwar iwie direkt in sie verknallt aber das ist nicht direkt so schnulzig. diese 3rd person pov irritiert mich bsl. und es ist schonziemlich wenig plot alsooo. ich fand es bis 60/70% eigentlich ne solide 4,5/5. der break up war für mich bsl random und kurz, genauso wie das wieder zsm kommen. insgesamt sind neben den beiden die charaktere nur seeehr oberflächlich bescchrieben. mich hat es am ende vorallem genervt wie beie sich für „nicht gut genug“ betitteln..und hab nicht gecheckt warum sie plötzlich aufgehört hat mit ihren routinen und so. asperger wird man nicht so einfach los. aber weis nicht ob es nur so als „aussetztet“ gemeint war oder nicht. dirty talk war ab und zu unangenehm…vorallem die line mit dem lambourgini
It's been a couple hours since I finished this book and I've literally been pacing around my house trying to put my thoughts into words, or in this case, a review. I loved this book, I loved the plot, I love the characters, I love their personal growth and I adore their romance. The ending was satisfying perfection, and I look forward to more books by Helen. It's the 30th of July and I truly don't want to read another book until August because I want this book to be the last thing I read this month. Stella and Micheal have my heart, and they would be my obsession for the foreseeable future. Five stars.

This was a beautifully written story. One of the best contemporary romances I've read in a long, long time. It is easy to see the love that went into this story. Hoang wrote this from a place deep in her heart. Deep-diving into research of how women and girls are often not diagnosed on the spectrum because they mask their differences extremely well. Dismissing the possibility that her own daughter (and herself) were on the spectrum because they didn't present...unknowing at the time that the list of symptoms is usually how males present. This is a situation I knew of, and I was very happy to see the note at the end of the story explaining this to the readers. .Stella is a focus-driven, bright young woman with high-functioning autism. She works 7 days a week, enjoying her work so much that she rarely, if ever, takes a day off. She only owns work clothes, she sets alarms to remind herself to eat and when it's time to go home because the world melts away when she's working. Her mother, (Who I suspect is also on the spectrum) wants grandbabies and is known for setting Stella up on dates in the past. All of which go badly. Her past sexual encounters have been scary, and uncomfortable in which Stella shuts down, and either disassociates or overthinks. Plus they were all selfish men, who couldn't realize that she was not into it. She gets a brilliant idea to hire an escort to give her lessons. If she could learn what she was "doing wrong" she could better keep a man long enough to have a relationship. .Enter Michael. Easily one of the best heroes I've read in a long while. He's two years Stella's junior, tall, athletic, tattooed, half-Vietnamese with a heart too big for his own good and secretly prideful. Michael is a high-end sex worker and escorts every Friday. His mother got cancer but is currently in remission and doing better, but the bills....the bills. His mother didn't realize she didn't have health insurance, and Michael never told her. Instead of having her worry, he sells himself to pay the bills in secret. He is instantly smitten with Stella. This shocks him because he never ever allows himself to have feelings for a client and he never has repeat customers, it's a hard and fast rule for him. But Stella is...different. .I won't say much more because I don't want to give away too much of this lovely story. Things are funny, awkward, and sometimes cringy, but also beautiful, heartfelt and sad. Stella doesn't want Michael to know she is autistic, and Michael doesn't want Stella to know his real name, lest she google him and find out what a horrific man his father was. Neither of them thinks they are good enough for the other. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
There's not enough data in the world to predict what will make your heart tick. Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases--a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old. It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice--with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan--from foreplay to more-than-missionary position... Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he's making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

This book will always be my forever favorite. When I got stuck not finding good book to read, this one was definitely not wanting to be in the list of ‘to be read’.Stella is me, i’m her, i don’t like French kissing either, all the wetness and shit doesn’t feel good, at all. I don’t remember the story exactly but the pacing, the characters, the storyline : everything is so good, I want to keep rereading the book again and again. Helen’s writing just flows so beautifully. It flows so smoothly, keeps readers wondering as to what will happen next. I love Stella and Michael, both. They are both going through their own shit, but come together and form a bond that says “I understand you, you understand me. ”I loved how Stella doesn’t act how people want her to act. She talks : is brutally honest, and doesn’t understand what people would do in her case. She’s sensitive and kind. Also, that bitch of her boyfriend had the audacity to blame her, when he was a shit boyfriend. That shit piece of asshole— Michael’s protectiveness, mhmm, he’s hawttt! Stella is rich, but she does not show off her wealth to every guy she meets, she’s down to earth, kind and a beautiful woman inside out, it really made me shy when she says to Michael that she’s not a cat, when he describes her pussy. She’s funny without trying. I loved stella’s character so much. She’s sensible, responsible, and witty all at the same time. Michael compliments her well, he does not have an inferiority complex like most men do, when the woman is earning more than them. He infact loves it that Stella is reaching new heights and wants the best for her. WE LOVE A SUPPORTING MAN. Overall, this book is a 1000000/10 ⭐ read, so if you haven’t read this book, read it. Not based on this review, but because it’s a really good book, and you must give it a try.
Loved, loved, loved! The storyline was so unique and just intriguing. The characters were real and complicated human beings. The author really let's you inside the characters' heads which allows you to really relate to them and the fears/insecurities they are feeling. Highly recommend!

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang received so many rave reviews. I wanted to know why the hype, but I have to admit though I was a little wary at first. I took the plunge after I saw that a few of my blogger associates loved it. I chucked caution to the wind and dived right into the story. I am glad I did.If I had to use one adjective to describe this book, the term used would be stunning. This is by far my favourite book for the year. There is a plethora of reviews in the blogosphere for this title making it difficult not to say what has already been said about this book. I will say this though, The Kiss Quotient is one of those books you need top pick up when you have nothing else doing, as the story will consume you. Once you start, you will be hard pressed to put it down. The characters will weave themselves into your hearts to the point you will not forget them soon.I loved Stella and Michael together. An unconventional couple, but perfect for each other. I loved Michael’s patience towards Stella even before he knew about her Asperger’s Syndrome. Even after he found out it never changed how he felt about her.I loved Michael despite him being an escort. His decision to be an escort was not an easy, but he saw it as the only way out. I may not have agreed with his choice, but who am I to judge.This story pushed the boundaries of my emotional capacity. I cried (which is a rare occurrence when reading) and I laughed as I rooted for these two. They both deserved happiness as they both had their share of pain and disappointment. The story fulfilled all my expectations. I cannot find anything about the book I did not love apart from the fact I wanted more from Stella and Michael.Conclusion/RecommendationIf you have not read this book as yet I suggest you make the effort, you won’t regret it. I believe this book is a must read for fans of diverse romance.
